Executive Jiu Jitsu
Welcome back from summer!
Your coaches at Danville Jiu Jitsu hope you have enjoyed the slower pace of summer vacation. As we step back into fall and the routines of school, homework, carpools, sports, and the associated chaos of such, we want to give you an update regarding our expanding schedule of classes.
We are now offering Executive Jiu Jitsu Monday through Thursday at 7:15 pm and Tuesday’s at 11 am.
What is Executive Jiu Jitsu?
It’s not Jiu Jitsu in dress pants and tube socks.
Executive Jiu Jitsu is a class developed specifically to meet the needs of adults who want to train Jiu Jitsu without risking an injury which could jeopardize their career or livelihood. Executive Jiu Jitsu provides the benefits of Jiu Jitsu in a safe and controlled environment.
Class starts with a low or no-impact stretching and warm up regimen, and continues with instruction on jiujitsu fundamentals with emphasis on drilling and technique. Expect to work up a sweat- Jiu Jitsu will develop your core and flexibility like no other activity.
Who is this class for?
Executive Jiu Jitsu is for any adult who wants to train without having to engage in sparring if you choose not to. Parents who bring their kids and obviously believe in the value of Jiu Jitsu for self defense and self development have often expressed that they have found themselves on the sidelines secretly wishing they knew how to armbar or choke someone. They can train in a non-threatening and supportive environment.
What do you need to start Executive Jiu Jitsu?
All you need is an open mind and a desire to improve yourself. This class is no Gi on Mondays and Wednesdays, Gi on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have an assortment of Gis, shorts, tights, and rash guards at the school.
Consider the airline adage of putting your own oxygen mask on before you assist others. Being able to take care of others starts with taking care of yourself. Make yourself a priority and train!
