American jiu jitsu

Jiu Jitsu is best known for its incredible ground fighting techniques. Ideal for those who have a small build, it will teach you to overcome large opponents at the gym and in the real world.

Jiu Jitsu is a great sport to learn no matter how old you are or what you do for a living. Our adult students range in age from early 20s up to early 60s as even older students can benefit greatly from the exercise and self-mastery that American Jiu jitsu has to offer. What’s more, students of all ages have won medals in their respective divisions.

Our adult Jiu Jitsu classes are available every day from Monday to Saturday, and we have an open mat on Sundays. Private sessions are also available six days a week and you can schedule individual classes at any time a group class is not in session.

Jiu Jitsu places an emphasis on grappling and tackling. You will start by learning the mechanics of balance and weight control so you can use your physique to tackle opponents of all shapes and sizes. Typical moves you can expect to learn and perfect in our classes include the arm bar, kimura, leg lock and different types of chokes.

Our classes are tailored to meet the needs and experience level of our students. Our trainers will help you improve your skill no matter how much or how little Jiu jitsu you have learned. There is more than one trainer per class to ensure that you receive the personalized attention you need to improve your skills, learn new moves and meet your fitness goals.

While all our adult classes are co-ed, we understand that women have unique needs and goals when it comes to training and self-defense. Learn more about out our Women’s Team, and join an inclusive environment where classes are designed to support all ages and levels.
